Joe Erickson, Senior Managing Director, Business Development

Joe is a seasoned entrepreneur and business executive with over 30 years of experience in consulting and leadership positions across a number of industries.  During his 19 year career at Accenture, Joe was promoted to Senior Partner and was responsible for leading Accenture's Interactive Entertainment and Gaming practice globally.  In addition, he lead numerous internal Accenture initiatives to define Accenture's vision, point of view and investment strategies in the Entertainment and Gaming industries and the emerging area of Digital Content Services. Joe's key clients over the years included: Electronic Arts, Nintendo, Sega, Netscape, Fox Entertainment, GameWorks, Microsoft, Park Place Entertainment and many other High Tech and Consumer Products companies. His work included developing and implementing new business strategies, business processes and information systems for both start-up and established multi-billion dollar companies. 

 

Following his work at Accenture, Joe co-founded a Dermatology and Skin Care business and lead this business for 14 years.  Applying his consulting skills, Joe was an early pioneer in the the deployment of EMR technology, and his business was one of the first in the pacific northwest to fully implement electronic medical record technology.  Joe leveraged this experience and his consulting skills to assist a number of medical practices implement EMR technology over a several year time frame.  His more recent experience includes the co-founding, launch and scaling of new disruptive, ISP, ReallyFast.Net.  Joe served as CEO in this start-up from inception of the business until its sale to a regional cable company three years after launch.  Recently, Joe served on the board of directors for Aracne AB and was CEO of Futchi Americas, the companies behind the most entertaining soccer game on the planet, FUTCHI_rebounder™ – FUTCHI®.

 

Joe currently serves on a number of non-profit and for profit company boards.  He is currently the President and Board Chairman for West Seattle Trusteed Properties, Inc, a company that owns and leases parking lots in West Seattle.  In addition, he is on the Board of Directors for the Western Washington University Foundation (since 2007) and the College of Business and Economics Center of Innovation in Education (since 2005).  He  received his B.A. in Accounting from Western Washington University in 1983.  In his spare time, Joe enjoys mountaineering (he summited Mt. Rainier this summer), bouldering/rock climbing, hiking and is a second degree black belt in a Korean martial arts called Tang Soo Do.
