Randy Ottinger, Board Advisor
Randy has 30 years of experience as a business executive and leadership adviser. He founded Leader-2-Leader to help CEOs and senior leaders accelerate the growth of their companies and monetize the value they create. At Leader-2-Leader he works with Founders, CEOs, Boards, and Advisory Boards to build strategic networks and high performance teams, as well as support leaders to accelerate revenue growth, improve access to investment capital, and expand monetization options.
Mr. Ottinger was a Co-Founder and former EVP of Kotter International, where, working with Harvard Professor John Kotter, he advised senior leaders of Fortune 1000 companies on ways to accelerate the achievement of key strategies, lead organizational change, accelerate revenue growth, and improve operational and financial performance. Prior to Kotter International, Mr. Ottinger spent more than 20 years as a high tech executive with public and private companies.
Mr. Ottinger is the Author of Beyond Success: Building a Personal, Financial and Philanthropic Legacy (McGraw Hill, 2008). He also helped research and write the recently released book, XLR8 with Harvard Professor John Kotter (Harvard Business Press, 2014). In addition, Mr. Ottinger has written and published numerous articles on leadership and operational excellence for Forbes, Chief Executive Magazine, The Financial Times, Worth Magazine, and Stanford’s Center for Social Innovation.
Mr. Ottinger has a keen interest in values-based leadership. He is a member of World President’s Organization/YPO, and an active member of their social enterprise network.
He has a B.A. from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He serves on numerous for-profit and non-profit boards and advisory boards.
Mr. Ottinger is currently working with the University of Washington Foster School of Business to conduct a study of the investor and professional advisor ecosystem in Seattle.
